Can I Show Temperature on a Qolsys IQ Panel 2?
Yes, you can show the temperature on a Qolsys IQ Panel 2. The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 can display the local weather forecast information sent from Alarm.com. This includes the high-low temperature. This system can also display the current temperature from a connected Z-Wave thermostat.
If your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System is monitored, then you can have local weather information pushed down to the panel from Alarm.com. In order to do this, your alarm dealer must select the option for "Weather to Panel". By selecting this option, the panel will display a weather icon and the predicted high and low temperatures for the day. This information will be presented in the upper-left corner of the main screen. Clicking on the weather icon will show a weather forecast for the next four days.
Note that the weather information from Alarm.com is provided based on the Zip Code associated with the account. You can also have Alarm.com send you notifications regarding severe weather alerts in the area. Please note that some monitoring companies may charge extra for this service. Alarm Grid does not charge extra for this service, and we will enable Weather to Panel for any customer with access to Alarm.com. The feature can be enabled or disabled at any time upon request.
Additionally, you can also have the IQ Panel 2 show the current temperature for a Z-Wave thermostat that is programmed with the system. To see the temperature for a Z-Wave thermostat, you must swipe left or right on the main screen until you reach the thermostat menu. This menu will display the current temperature and allow you to adjust the set temperature for the thermostat. This can be useful if you ever want to see the current temperature in the building. Remember you can also control a Z-Wave thermostat from Alarm.com.
