How to add Medical & Loss-of-Airflow zones to Vista-Ps?
The Vista-15P, Vista-20P and Vista-21iP offer the option of a Configurable Zone type (2 on the Vista-15P, or 4 on the Vista-20P) which can be configured to provide a non-standard response in the event of such incidents, when a standard zone type is not sufficient. Configurable Zone Types allow you to choose the Contact ID reporting code for alarm and/or trouble. Medical and Pendant zones are fairly self explanatory, Loss of Airflow might come in handy in a situation where airflow is critical, such as in a livestock barn, or poultry barn.
The following settings will create a zone type which will activate a keypad alarm sound upon open or short (hardwired) or upon off-normal condition (wireless) whether the system is armed or disarmed, and will report the Contact ID Code specified. These examples assume this is the first Configurable Zone Type being programmed on the system, and will use Zone Type 90.
Hardwired Zone, enter programming and in *182, enter the following 10 digits:
4, 1, 4, 1, 4, 1, 0, 0, 5, 2
Wireless Zone, enter programming and in *182, enter the following 10 digits:
0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0, 5, 2
In programming location *183, you must enter the Contact ID report code you wish to use with zones programmed as this type (Zone Type 90).
Medical - Program *183 as 1, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0
Pendant - Program *183 as 1, 0, 1, 1, 0, 1
Loss of Air Flow - Program *183 as 1, 6, 1, 1, 6, 1
In zone programming, go to the appropriate zone number and program it as Zone Type 90.
