How Do I Disable Auto-Stay Arming on the 2GIG GC3?
You can disable Auto-Stay Arming on the 2GIG GC3 by accessing Panel Programming and disabling the option. The setting is Q14. You must provide the Installer Code to access the menu. After you confirm and save the change, the GC3 Panel will automatically reboot to complete the process.
Auto-Stay arming is a feature found on most security systems. If the feature is enabled, the system will automatically revert to Arm Stay mode if Arm Away mode is set and no entry/exit sensor is activated during the exit delay period. If a user wants their 2GIG GC3 System to go into Arm Away mode, they must either open and close an entry/exit door during the exit delay countdown or disable the feature from within panel programming. This can be very important to know if a user needs to test their interior sensors using Arm Away mode.
If you want to disable Auto-Stay Arming for the 2GIG GC3, complete the following steps:
1. Access Panel Programming. Press the 2GIG logo in the upper-right corner of the screen. Enter in the Installer Code for the system. The default Installer Code is 1561, but it may have been changed. Choose System Configuration, then Panel Programming to access the Panel Programming Menu.
2. Disable Auto Stay. On the left side of the screen, scroll down to Q14 for Auto Stay. Click on the question to highlight it. Then on the right side of the screen, choose Disabled. If you have the Smart Areas Partitioning feature enabled, you will be able to adjust the setting for each Smart Area.
3. Apply the changes. Press "Return to System Configuration" in the upper-right corner. Then press the return arrow on the left side of the screen. Press the green Save button. The panel will reboot to apply the changes. Once the reboot is complete, Auto-Stay Arming will be disabled.
