How Do I Enroll an IQ Fob with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2?

You can enroll an IQ Fob with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 by putting the panel into its learn mode and then activating the key fob to learn it in. This is done by pressing the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. Once the panel has recognized the device, you can adjust its settings as needed.

Complete the following steps to program an IQ Fob to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2:

1. Activate learn mode. In order for a new IQ Fob device to be recognized, the system must be placed in its learn mode. To activate this mode, start from the home screen of the system. Press the small gray bar at the top of the screen then choose Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer or Dealer Code (1111 and 2222 by default) > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Auto Learn Sensor. This will put the IQ Panel 2 into its learn mode.

2. Learn the device. Activate the IQ Fob to have it recognized by the IQ Panel 2 so that it can be learned in. To do this, press and hold the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously on the IQ Fob. The system will chime and display a message stating that it has recognized the device. Press the "OK" button to continue.

3. Adjust the settings. The settings and configurations for the IQ Fob must then be adjusted so that the device works with the system properly. Make sure to select the sensor type, provide a sensor name and choose an appropriate sensor group for the IQ Fob. Sensor Groups 1, 4, and 6 are typically available for key fobs. 4. Save the changes. Once the settings have been configured, press the "Add New" button at the button f the screen to save the changes. The IQ Fob will be added to the system so that it can arm and disarm as needed. Press the picture of the house at the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
