How Do I Get Into Programming On My 2GIG Edge?

You can get into programming on your 2GIG Edge by clicking the settings icon (the gear) on the main screen, entering the Installer Code (default 1561), choosing Installer Toolbox, and then choosing Panel Programming. There are various submenus, depending on the changes you want to make.

Programming mode on the 2GIG Edge allows you to make changes to various system settings. You may enter programming to add or remove equipment from the system, to adjust communication settings, or to change how the system responds or behaves in different circumstances or situations. The various submenus of Panel Programming are Wireless Zones, Built-In Zones, Keyfobs, Keypads, Image Sensors, Network Settings (Wireless, Access Point), and Advanced Settings (System Configuration, Timers/Delays/Counts, Panel Configuration, Troubles, Reporting).

Complete the following steps to get into programming on your 2GIG Edge.

1. Access Panel Programming. Begin from the main screen of the 2GIG Edge. Press the settings icon (the gear) in the bottom-right. Enter the system's Installer Code (default 1561). Scroll down, and click on Installer Toolbox. Select Panel Programming. You will enter into the Panel Programming Menu.

2. Make system changes. There will be various submenus available so that you can make changes to the way your 2GIG Edge System behaves. The submenus include Wireless Zones, Built-In Zones, Keyfobs, Keypads, Image Sensors, Network Settings (Wireless, Access Point), and Advanced Settings (System Configuration, Timers/Delays/Counts, Panel Configuration, Troubles, Reporting). Remember that most 2GIG Edge settings do not require manual saving upon being changed. You merely adjust the setting, and exit. The changes will be automatically applied to the system,

3, Return home. After you finish making system changes, you can return home by pressing the icon of the house in the bottom-right corner. If you are at a screen where the house is not present, then press the blue return arrow at the top of the screen to back out to a previous screen where the house is displayed. Alternatively, you can keep pressing the return arrow to eventually reach the main screen, instead of pressing the house icon.
