The pairing process is as simple as clearing the lock from the network and then activating the inclusion function on both the Lock and the Lyric.

Please note that you should have the Kwikset Lock in close proximity to the Lyric when performing the steps below. Complete the following steps to pair a Kwikset Z-Wave Lock with a Lyric Alarm System:

1. Access the enrollment button. You will need to remove the front cover from the Kwikset Lock to access its enrollment button. The lock uses the same button for inclusion and exclusion. It is typically labeled A. Continue to the next step once you have located the enrollment button.

2. Clear the lock. When adding a Z-Wave device, it is best practice to clear the lock from the network first. This will wipe any Z-Wave network information and make the pairing process easier. On the Lyric Panel, choose Automation. Then press the down arrow on the right side of the screen. Then click on Tools, and then Exclude Devices. This will put the Lyric into its exclusion mode. Then press the A button on the Kwikset Lock. You should get a message on the Lyric saying that the lock was excluded from the network.

3. Pair the lock. Now that the lock has been cleared from the network, you will be able to pair it. Return to the Automation Tools Menu on the Lyric System, and this time choose Include Devices. The Lyric will enter into its Z-Wave inclusion mode. Press the A button on the Kwikset Lock, and it should pair with the system.
