How do I Perform a Go No Go Test on a Lyric Gateway?
This FAQ assumes that 5800 series wireless devices have been programmed into the Lyric Gateway. Programming for the Gateway must be done through AlarmNet 360, by a registered Alarm Dealer. This is the only way to program zones into the panel, as there is no local programming option.
The Go No Go Test is used to verify that 5800 series wireless devices have adequate transmitting capability to get their signals to the Lyric Gateway. This test is similar to the Walk Test, but in Go No Go Test mode, the receiver is reduced to ½ gain. It is recommended to perform this test before permanently mounting any 5800 series wireless devices.
To perform the Go No Go Test, you must first put the system into the test mode. Do this by entering Installer Code (default is 4112) + [5] + [1]. The Lyric Gateway will speak “Go No Go Test mode entered, press Disarm and Enter Code to Exit”. Fault each 5800 series wireless device from its desired mounting location. As each device is faulted, the Gateway will chime, indicating the signal for that device was received. If the “Panel Voice” feature is enabled (via the My Home Gateway app > Settings) the system will also speak the descriptor for each zone as its signal is received. It is recommended to test each device several times. They should all check in to the panel each time they are faulted. If a 5800 series device fails to check in, try relocating it. Usually, just a few inches in one direction or another is enough to solve the issue.
To exit the Go No Go Test mode, you can press “Disarmed” on the Lyric Gateway, then enter any valid code, or you can press “Home” from the My Home Gateway app, and enter a valid code. For information on setting the Lyric Gateway up with the My Home Gateway app, click here.
