Which routers are compatible with the LYNX Touch?

You can use (2) different AlarmNet internet alarm monitoring communicators with a Honeywell L5100 LYNX Touch wireless alarm control panel. If you want to connect wirelessly to your internet router, you should use the L5100 WIFI internet alarm communicator. Or you can use the AlarmNet ILP5 internet alarm communicator with your LYNX Touch wireless security system but you will need to wire an Ethernet cable between your wireless router and the ILP5 internet communicator. Both AlarmNet communicators provide internet alarm communications for the LYNX Touch wireless alarm control panel. When the LYNX Touch wireless security system goes into alarm mode, the alarm signal is sent out through the AlarmNet communicator using your local internet network. The internet alarm signal is received by AlarmNet’s servers and automatically and immediately forwarded on to your central station so an operator can respond to the alarm. You must sign up with an AlarmNet dealer if you want to have your LYNX Touch monitored through an ILP5 or L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator. Honeywell suggests using one of the following routers when using either of the AlarmNet internet alarm monitoring communicators.

While other wireless routers may work with the ILP5 or L5100-WIFI AlarmNet communicators, Honeywell has specifically tested the listed routers for compatibility with the L5100 LYNX Touch. This list of compatible wireless routers is valid as of March of 2012.
