Which Deadbolt Lock Is Compatible w/ a Qolsys IQ Panel 2?

A select set of Z-Wave deadbolt locks are compatible with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2. The lock is enrolled with the system by putting the system into its Z-Wave learn mode and then activating the inclusion function on the lock. The lock can then be controlled from the panel or through Alarm.com.

This integrated controller allows the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System to interface with virtually any Z-Wave lock. The lock can then be controlled locally from the panel or through the Alarm.com interactive service. Alarm.com also offers a mobile app so that the lock can be operated remotely. This is great for letting a friend inside while you are away from home or for letting a postal worker drop off a package inside your home. Up to 6 different Z-Wave locks can be programmed with the system.

A Z-Wave lock can be learned-in with the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System very easily. Before attempting to enroll the lock, you should first clear it from the network. Many Z-Wave locks are enrolled with a network for testing purposes before they even leave the factory. By clearing the lock first, you can help ensure that it will work properly with your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System. This is done by putting the system into its exclusion mode and then activating the inclusion function on the lock. Some locks have an inclusion button, while others will require that a specific code is entered into the lock. Refer to the device's instruction manual for more information on how to activate its inclusion mode.

After clearing the lock, it can then be enrolled with the system. To do this, first put the system into its inclusion mode. Then, once again, activate the inclusion function on the Z-Wave lock. The system should display a message that it has recognized the lock. Some settings for the lock can then be configured. You can then test the lock either from the panel or from Alarm.com. Make sure that the lock can be successfully locked and unlocked using Z-Wave control.
