Alarm.com ADC-V723X

The Alarm.com ADC-V723X is basically the same camera as the ADC-V723. Due to ongoing supply chain issues, Alarm.com has begun sourcing components from different vendors. This has necessitated a change in the camera SKU. This camera specifications and behavior remain the same.

The ADC-V723X is an outdoor camera that is compatible with Alarm.com video monitoring. Since it's rated for outdoor use, it can stand up to the elements, and with its IP66 rating, it is waterproof and dust tight. A resolution of 1080P means that the image quality of captured video will be crisp and clear. Support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) ensures excellent contrast with vibrant lighter colors as well as deep darks. HDR is actually information that is carried along with the rest of the video signal from the camera to the monitor or Alarm.com server. As long as the monitor or server can also support HDR, the information is then decoded and used to provide outstanding video quality.

The ADC-V723X, like its predecessor, supports the full suite of Alarm.com Video Analytics features. This allows the user to calibrate the camera, then set it up so that it only alerts and/or records clips when it senses a person within the field of view, or when it senses movement within a specified area of the field of view. This helps to prevent nuisance alerts for things like traffic passing by on the street, or animals that may walk within the detection area. Speaking of the field of view, the ADC-V723X has a field of view of 117°. This nice, wide view provides more context within captured video clips, and may allow you to cover more area with fewer cameras.

Any Alarm Grid customer who is signed up for a video monitoring plan can add the ADC-V723X to their account. Plans that support video are the Platinum Plan (Full or Self) and the Video-only Monitoring Plan. This camera does not support PoE (Power over Ethernet) or any hardwired ethernet connection. Instead it uses a WIFI connection. It can support either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WIFI bands and comes with its own power supply. If the power cord is not long enough, it can be extended to up to 100' (9.3m) using one or more Alarm.com ADC-VPE-9FT-W extension cables. Mounting hardware is included.
