1080P Security Cameras
If you are looking to get started with video surveillance for your home or business, then you will want to invest in some 1080P Cameras. These security cameras are top-of-the-line, and they offer some of the clearest pictures available. It really is a great feeling to know that you can look in at your home or business at any time and make sure that everything is okay. Whether you want to confirm a burglary or a fire or just have peace of mind in knowing that everything is as it should be, your 1080P security cameras will be there to help.
It is important to consider that most security cameras do not integrate directly with alarm control panels. The typical IP camera will integrate with an interactive service platform like Total Connect 2.0 or Alarm.com. You will then access that platform using a web browser or mobile app to view your security cameras. You can even set up text and/or email alerts to notify you whenever your security camera begins recording due to detected movement. Also keep in mind that there are some panels like the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus that will allow you to live-stream certain cameras right from the system.
When choosing 1080P cameras, you must make sure that they are compatible with the interactive service platform you are building around. For example, if you have Total Connect 2.0, then you will want to get Total Connect IP Cameras. Likewise, if you have Alarm.com, you will want to get Alarm.com Cameras. You cannot normally use cameras around with different networks. They can only be used with their intended platform. Just keep this in mind whenever you go to buy new cameras.
Security cameras used with monitoring platforms like TC2 and ADC will utilize IP connectivity for communicating with these servers. Depending on the camera, this can be through a hardwired ethernet connection or through a wireless WIFI connection. Either way, the general procedure is the same. The camera will connect with the local network so that it can communicate across the internet. This will allow it to stream its feed to the associated servers so that you can access the video from anywhere, at any time.
In order to use security cameras with a platform like TC2 or ADC, you will need an appropriate alarm monitoring plan. Alarm Grid customers will need a Platinum Level Plan if they want to use cameras with the same platform as their security systems. Technically, you can also use these cameras without even owning a security system. This is done through our Video-Only Plan. With this plan, you will have access to either TC2 or ADC for the sole purpose of accessing your cameras. No security system will be used. This is good if you want video surveillance, but you don't actually want an alarm system.
The great thing about 1080P cameras is their excellent video quality. With a 1080P security camera, you will be able to capture intrusion and fire alarms in the finest detail. This can be crucial if you ever have to present evidence at a later date. Most of these cameras also offer infrared (IR) night vision for use in the dark. Even if your camera activates at night, it will still be able to capture any important events.
