SkyBell ADC-VDB101

This is the Alarm.com version of the SkyBell HD round video doorbell. Unlike the Honeywell DBCAM for Total Connect, the Alarm.com WIFI doorbell camera is equipped with proprietary firmware that grants it access to the Alarm.com ecosystem. This means that you can add this gorgeous 1080P HD doorbell cam to your existing Alarm.com compatible security system and trigger notifications on a single, integrated app.

Furthermore, it offers dynamic two-way voice when operated through the Alarm.com application. There are two finishes: Satin Nickel (ADC-VDB101) and Oil-Rubbed Bronze (ADC-VDB102). There are also two slim line models: Satin Nickel (ADC-VDB105) and Oil-Rubbed Bronze (ADC-VDB106). The Slim versions will fit into a smaller space in terms of width but they only transmit video in 720P. If you prefer full HD video we recommend the round model if it fits the space.

The Alarm.com WIFI doorbell camera does require power and a 2.4GHz WIFI connection. If there is an existing hardwired doorbell chime that is recommended for power. If there is no existing wired chime you can configure a standalone 24VAC transformer or 12VDC adapter. If you choose a standalone setup there must be a 10 ohm, 10 watt resistor in series on one wire at the doorbell. The power supply and resistor are not included.

Note: Not designed for use with the SkyBell App. If you pair the round Alarm.com SkyBell with the native SkyBell App and allow it to update, then it will no longer work with the Alarm.com service. Only use the round Alarm.com SkyBell device with Alarm.com.

Note: You will need a 10 ohm / 10 watt resistor if you intend on using the DBCAM in a location without a mechanical chime. More information can be found here.
