The First Alert CAMW-WI aka VX5, is an HD quality, indoor video camera. It is from Resideo which uses the First Alert brand for their VX line of HD security cameras. The VX5 is a sleek, modern-looking camera with a small footprint. Like the rest of the VX security cameras, it has video and audio capabilities.

This CAMW-WI features motion detection, alerting you immediately if movement is detected in the monitored area. It also allows configuration of detection areas or windows within the cameras viewing area. This feature ensures you’re aware of unusual activity as soon as it happens. You can be alerted of people, vehicles, animals, sound, and motion. The camera also includes night vision, providing clear video even in low-light conditions, making it ideal for 24/7 monitoring.

The VX5 camera is designed to operate using the Total Connect 2.0 video service. You will need a video package compatible with VX series cameras. For Alarm Grid customers, this includes any Platinum package (Full or Self), or a video-only monitoring plan. Each video plan includes support for up to four (4) VX cameras, eight (8) HD cameras, and six (6) legacy cameras. Each VX5 counts as one (1) VX video device.
