Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS101

The Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS101 is a 10-1 system kit with a Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS Security Panel, ten (10) PROSIXMINI2 Encrypted Door and Window Contacts, one (1) PROSIXPIR Encrypted Motion Detection Sensor, and a Honeywell LT-Cable for providing power. It uses WIFI connectivity.

Most users will get a 10-1 kit with ten (10) contacts and one (1) motion sensor for a larger home or small business. The other important aspect to keep in mind with this kit is that it is WIFI-only, and it does not include a cellular communicator. This means that an internet outage will take the panel offline. But many users are willing to accept this risk, as internet-only monitoring is usually less expensive than cellular monitoring. If you decide you want cellular monitoring later, you can always upgrade your plan and add a compatible cell module. The PROA7PLUS can support the Honeywell Home PROLTE-A (AT&T LTE) or the Honeywell Home PROLTE-V (Verizon LTE) for cellular communication.

Other features for the Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS include its built-in Z-Wave Plus technology, automatic Bluetooth disarming capabilities, and support for up to four (4) system partitions. The alarm panel itself offers a sleek and modern design, paired with an intuitive UI for easy menu navigation. And if your monitoring plan includes access to Total Connect 2.0, then you can also perform virtually any system command remotely by using a web browser or an app on your phone. A former limitation of the PROA7PLUS was that it did not support local end-user programming but as of firmware version 03.591.92.0 it now supports programming at the panel. Another update, 03.1868.32.0, added support for integration with Apple HomeKit.

Important Note: The PROA7 and PROA7PLUS systems only support PROSIX and SiX series sensors from the factory. If you plan to use any legacy RF sensors, including Honeywell 5800 Series, 2GIG (non-encrypted) 345 MHz, Qolsys or Interlogix 319.5 MHz, DSC 433 MHz, or Bosch 433 MHz sensors, you will need to add a PROTAKEOVER module to your system.
