Description
The Networx NX-410-US-VZ Alarm.com Verizon LTE and IP Dual-Path Communicator allows a compatible Networx Panel to connect with the Alarm.com Servers through Verizon LTE and IP. Compatible panels include the Networx 4V2, 6V2, 8V2, and 8E Alarm Systems. It also offers Z-Wave functionality.
A dual-path communicator like the Alarm.com NX-410-US-VZ provides some great benefits for an alarm system. Dual-path communication means that the panel communicates across two separate paths. In this case, a compatible Networx Panel will send out signals across the Verizon LTE Network and internet protocol (IP). The panel will normally use IP as its primary communication path. This is because IP is a little bit faster than LTE. But LTE is more reliable, and it will serve as an important backup if IP service is ever down. This is crucial for ensuring that your Inerlogix Networx Alarm Panel stays constantly connected with Alarm.com for monitoring service.
It is extremely important to add a cellular communicator to your alarm system. This is because you cannot match the reliability that cellular communication offers. This type of connection will almost never go down or become unavailable. The same cannot be said for IP monitoring, which is vulnerable to outages. Another benefit of this module is that it is a Verizon LTE Communicator. Verizon has stated that they plan to support their LTE network into the very distant future. By using this module, you are "future-proofing" your Networx System so that it can be used for many years to come. Just be aware that you will need a Gold Plan or higher from Alarm Grid to use this module.
With this cellular communicator, you will also be able to connect your Networx Panel with Alarm.com. This is an outstanding platform that you can access remotely using the Alarm.com Mobile App on virtually any Android or iOS device. By accessing Alarm.com, you can arm and disarm your system, control Z-Wave smart home devices, check current system status, view the live feed for ADC Cameras, and more. Z-Wave functionality is built right into this module, so you can start pairing Z-Wave devices as soon as you add it to your system. This includes great devices like smart lights, locks, thermostats, and more. You can even use your Z-Wave devices with smart scenes on Alarm.com to have them activate based on a schedule or with certain system events.
