Description
The QOLSYS-IQP2-4208PK-AT is a security system kit that features the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus w/ 433 MHz Daughtercard & AT&T LTE. It also includes three (3) VERSA-DSC Contacts and a PowerG PG9914 Motion Sensor. This kit is ideal for small homes and apartments, but it can be expanded upon.
At Alarm Grid, we consider the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus to be an outstanding security system overall. We often recommend it to new users because of its simple and intuitive menus. The system is also applauded for its sleek and modern design that fits in nicely with almost any decor or setting. Its 7" touchscreen controller is perfectly responsive, and it feels great to use. Other nice features for the system include support for up to 128 wireless zones, automatic Bluetooth disarming, partitioning, integrated Z-Wave Plus, live-streaming for compatible ADC Cameras, and so much more.
This is the 433 MHz version of the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. It is designed for use with legacy DSC Sensors and DSC PowerG Sensors. Legacy DSC Sensors operate at the 433 MHz frequency, and they use one-way communication, without any encryption. DSC PowerG Sensors operate at 915 MHz, and they use bi-directional 128-bit AES encryption for added wireless security. A great aspect of PowerG Sensors is that they can communicate with the IQ Panel 2 Plus from up to 2,000 feet away. We have included three (3) 433 MHz VERSA-DSC Sensors and one (1) DSC PG9914 PowerG Motion Sensor with this kit.
This system also features an integrated AT&T LTE Communicator and a built-in WIFI card. This means that the system can support dual-path communication, without any additional add-ons. This is great, as the system will be able to communicate reliably, even if one path goes down or becomes unavailable. Just be aware that you must activate this system with Alarm.com in order to use it for monitoring service. Since Alarm.com requires the cellular communicator to be active, you will need a monitoring plan that includes both cellular connectivity, as well as access to Alarm.com. Some examples of compatible plans include the Gold and Platinum Plans from Alarm Grid. Once activated, you can control the system through Alarm.com using the website or the free mobile app.
Note: The IQ Panel 2 Plus supports up to 152 total Z-Wave devices for local Z-Wave control. There is also a smaller limit for different types of Z-Wave devices. The individual limit for each Z-Wave device type must be manually increased within Installer/Dealer Level Programming. Please also note that Alarm.com has its own smaller limit of 122 total Z-Wave devices for remote operation and use with smart scenes. More information on Alarm.com Z-Wave limits can be found in this FAQ.
The breakdown for the maximum allowed of each device type for local control, is shown in the table below. If you want more information on adjusting IQ2+ Z-Wave device limits, please check this other FAQ.
