Telguard CTXL-12
Low Loss Cable for TG-1 Express LTE
Description
The Telguard CTXL-12 is a low loss, twelve (12) foot, antenna cable. It is for connecting to the Telguard TG-1 Express LTE cellular communicators (Verizon or AT&T). It can be used to connect either the EXDL-0 or the HGDL-0 external antenna. It comes with installation hardware included.
Cellular communicators come with an antenna built in, but sometimes the location where the communicator must be mounted is not optimal for achieving good signal strength and quality. In those cases, one of the Telguard external antennas can be used to solve the problem. Using the external antenna and the CTXL-12, the user can locate the antenna in a remote location up to twelve (12) feet from the communicator. The Telguard EXDL-0 is an omnidirectional antenna suitable for indoor or outdoor mounting. It can provide a small amount of signal gain. The HGDL-0 is a directional antenna, also suitable for indoor or outdoor mounting. It can provide up to 10 dB of gain, and should be installed pointing toward the nearest cellular tower.
If the antenna needs to be mounted further than twelve (12) feet from the communicator, then the ACD-12, ACD-35, ACD-50 or ACD-100 kits can be used to further extend the wiring from the CTXL-12 to the antenna location. The Telguard TG-1 Express has a different type of connector for the antenna, so the CTXL-12 must be used to connect an external antenna to the communicator, but from there, additional length can be added using one of the above mentioned cables. They come in 12', 35', 50', and 100' lengths respectively. Keep in mind that you never want more antenna wire than is absolutely necessary when connecting a remote antenna to a cellular communicator.
