2Gig GoControl vs Honeywell Vista 15P
The 2Gig GoControl panel is a wireless self contained alarm system which supports up to 48 wireless zones and 2 hardwired zones.
The Honeywell Vista 15P panel is a hybrid hardwired alarm panel which has 6 on board hardwired zones and supports up to 16 hardwired expansion zones and up to 26 wireless expansion zones. For users to utilize the expansion zones, a 4219 hardwired zone expander or an RF keypad or 5800 series wireless zone expander would be needed.
Keypads -
The GoControl panel has a built in color touchscreen and supports up to 4 additional wireless keypads.
The Vista 15P panel supports a total of 8 alpha and fixed keypads combined and up to 2 graphic keypads.
Key Fobs -
The GoControl supports up to 8 key fobs
The Vista 15P has 8 independent key fob zones which do not use any of the 26 wireless expansion zones.
User Codes -
The GoControl supports up to 32 user codes.
The Vista 15P supports up to 32 user codes.
Smoke Detectors -
The GoControl only supports wireless smoke detectors.
The Vista 15P supports 4 wire, up to 16, 2 wire and wireless smoke detectors.
Z-Wave -
The GoControl has a built in Z-Wave radio which supports up to 232 Z-Wave devices.
The Vista 15P can be paired with either the VAM or a Tuxedo Touch WiFi to control Z-Wave devices. When paired with one of these devices the Vista 15P will support up to 232 Z-Wave devices.
Communicators -
The GoControl can communicate connected via landline, gsm cell communicator or an IP communicator or dual communication.
The Vista 15P can communicate connected via landline, gsm cell communiator, internet communicator or dual communication.
Enhanced Services -
Yes, when the GoControl panel is paired with the gsm cell communicator, it can connect with Alarm.com.
Yes, when the Vista 15P is connected via gsm cell or internet communicator, it can connect to Total Connect 2.0.
Alarm.com and Total Connect 2.0 allows users to control an alarm system, home automation and video sureillance from any computer, smart phone or ios device. Users will receive emails and or text messages on any real time alarm signal or event.
