Can I Use A Lyric Security System w/ a Vista 20P?
No, both the Lyric Controller and the Vista 20P are alarm control panels. They work independently and will not talk to each other.
The Honeywell Lyric Controller is a self contained wireless security and home automation system. The Lyric Controller is compatible with the Honeywell “SiX” devices and Honeywell’s 5800 series devices. The Lyric Controller has 2 hardwired zones, 128 wireless zones, 4 garage door zones, 32 keyfob zones, 12 temperature zones and 8 wireless keypad zones.
The Honeywell Vista 20P is a hardwired control panel that has 8 on board hardwired sensors (15 when zone doubling is used). The Vista 20P panel also supports up to 40 hardwired zones when paired with a Honeywell 4219 or up to 40 wireless zones when paired with either a 5881 series wireless receiver or an RF keypad. Total maximum zone capacity is 48.
The Lyric Controller has a built in WiFi module and Z-Wave module.
The Vista 20P is compatible with the optional 7847i internet communicator and the VAM or Tuxedo Touch WiFi for z-wave capabilities.
The Lyric Controller is compatible with the optional Lyric-3G (AT&T) cell communicator and theLyric-CDMA (Verizon) cell communicator.
The Vista 20P’s compatible cell communicators are the GSMV4G, GSMX4G and the iGSMV4G (dual communicator).
The Lyric Controller has a built in touchscreen keypad and is compatible with the LKP500 for auxiliary keypads.
The Vista 20P supports up to 8 alpha and fixed combines keypads and up to 4 AUI keypads. Here are a few of the most popular compatible Honeywell keypads: 6150, 6150V, 6150RF, 6160, 6160V, 6160RF, 6280 and the Tuxedo Touch WiFi.
Both the Lyric Controller and the Vista 20P control panel provide most of the same features.
