Yes, you can use the Resideo IPCAM-WOC2 without an alarm system. The camera works in conjunction with Total Connect 2.0. TC2 is often used with an alarm panel, but that is not a requirement. An end-user can choose to go with a stand-alone video plan that does not require a security panel.

The IPCAM-WOC2, which replaces the IPCAM-WOC1, is an outdoor rated 1080p camera. It connects to the internet using 2.4 GHz WIFI and has a new internal BlueTooth antenna and superior night-vision capabilities. It also offers intelligent sound detection with audio analytics. It comes with a 16 GB MicroSD card, which can be used for backup storage in the event the network connection is lost. It boasts a viewing angle of 117.0° and an IP66 rating.

As one of several HD cameras from Resideo and Honeywell Home, the IPCAM-WOC2 can be used in conjunction with an alarm panel and Total Connect 2.0. In fact, it can be viewed directly from the Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS, the Resideo PROA7PLUSC, and their touchscreen keypads the Honeywell Home PROWLTOUCH and the Resideo PROWLTOUCHC.
