How Do I Factory Reset Alarm.com Compatible Cameras?
You can factory reset an Alarm.com compatible camera by following the specific factory reset process for that camera. Each ADC camera follows a slightly different process. Most ADC cameras can be factory reset by pressing and holding the device's reset button for a specific period of time.
After the factory reset process for the camera is complete, the device should remain plugged-in and left alone for at least two (2) minutes. The device will then be factory reset. Remember, you can always check the instruction manual for the device for more information.
Before performing any factory reset on any Alarm.com Camera, you should wait at least two (2) minutes after the device has been powered on. Attempting to perform a factory reset before the camera has fully powered on could cause the reset to fail, and you would have to do it over.
Please note that factory resetting an Alarm.com Camera will NOT delete it from an account. You will still need to remove/delete the camera from the existing account before you will be able to add it to a new one. This is very important if you ever decide to try and buy a used Alarm.com Camera. Always make sure a used Alarm.com Camera is deleted from the old account before purchasing!
