How Do I Get Into Programming On My PROA7PLUS?

You can get into programming on your PROA7PLUS by downloading ProSeries System Update Version 3.591.92.0 or higher, clicking the three (3) horizontal bars button at the bottom of the main screen, choosing Tools, entering the Installer Code (default 4112), and then choosing Programming.

Please note that while this FAQ is written specifically with the Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS in mind, the same steps and rules also apply to the Honeywell Home PROA7, the Resideo PROA7C, and the Resideo PROA7PLUSC. Local Programming Mode can be accessed on ProSeries Panels running System Update Version 3.591.92.0 or higher. You use Local Programming Mode to make changes to your system. The programming submenus include Partitions, Peripherals (Sensors, Key Fobs, Keypads), Z-Wave Peripherals, Users, and Advanced Settings (Communicator, System Reporter).

Complete the following steps to get into programming on your PROA7PLUS:

1. Download the Firmware Update. Your panel must have ProSeries System Update Version 3.591.92.0 or higher in order for Local Programming Mode to be accessible. This update can be pushed down to your panel through an over-the-air (OTA) updating process once the system is monitored and connected with the AlarmNet servers. A WIFI connection is required, meaning that the ProSeries Panel will need either a PROWIFIZW or a PROWIFI module installed inside. The PROA7PLUS and PROA7PLUSC have a PROWIFIZW by default, but a PROA7 or PROA7C must have one of these modules added. You can request the firmware update from your monitoring provider. Alarm Grid monitored customers will likely already have the update installed. We requested that all our customers who currently have a ProSeries System be updated to 3.592.92.0 when it was first released. If your system failed to update, or you recently activated and may have missed the update, you can email support@alarmgrid.com to request it. Remember that our support hours run from 9am to 8pm ET M-F. Make sure that your panel is powered on and connected to WIFI when the update is sent down, or else the process will fail.

You can check the current firmware version on your ProSeries Panel by clicking the three (3) horizontal bars button at the bottom of the main screen, then choosing Tools, entering the system's Installer Code (default 4112), selecting System Information, and then pressing General. The current system firmware version will be shown on the screen.

2. Enter Local Programming Mode. Begin from the main screen of the PROA7PLUS or other ProSeries Panel with Version 3.591.92.0 or higher. Click the three (3) horizontal bars menu button at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to Tools on the left-hand toolbar, and choose that option. Enter the system's Installer Code (default 4112). Choose Programming. You will enter Local Programming Mode.

3. Make system changes. Now that you are in programming, you can make system changes. This may include adding/deleting enrolled sensors, enabling/disabling system partitions, adding/deleting Z-Wave peripheral devices, adding/deleting users, and making changes to advanced communicator and reporter settings. There are various submenus you can access, depending upon what settings you want to change. Don't forget to save your changes as you make them, as the ProSeries Panels do not apply changes unless they are saved during the process.

4. Return to home screen. When you are finished programming the system, you can return home by repeatedly pressing the return arrow in the upper-left corner.
