Qolsys iq panel 2 at and t wireless security system with at and The practice of enrolling sensors with an alarm system is sometimes referred to as programming. This is a very important step, as you need sensors to detect any security, life-safety or environmental concerns. Programming is typically one of the first things you will do when you set up a new system. It is also something you will do whenever you add a new sensor.

Complete the following steps to program a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System:

1. Enter auto enrollment mode. Start from the main screen of the IQ Panel 2. Press the small grey bar at the top. Choose Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer Code (default 1111) > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Auto-Learn Sensor. The system will enter its wireless enrollment mode for auto-learning sensors.

2. Enroll the sensor. Make sure the wireless sensor you are trying to enroll is compatible with your IQ Panel 2 System. The standard version supports 319.5 MHz sensors, but there are other legacy daughtercards for supporting 345 MHz sensors and 433 MHz sensors. The sensor should be powered on and have its batteries inserted.

Normally, you can fault the sensor to learn it in. The panel should recognize the sensor after a single fault. Other sensors may require you to activate the tamper switch to auto-enroll. This can be done by removing the sensor's back cover. If you have an IQ Panel 2 Plus System and you are trying to enroll a PowerG Sensor, then you will need to follow a unique process to auto-enroll. This is normally done by pressing and holding the enrollment button for a set amount of time to transmit a signal. See the installation manual for the PowerG Sensor for more information.

After the sensor has been recognized, press OK to confirm enrollment.

3. Configure the zone. You will need to go through and configure the settings for the zone.

The Sensor DL ID should be already set since you auto-enrolled the sensor.

Set the Sensor Type based on the type of sensor you are using.

Set the Sensor Group to determine how the system will respond when the sensor is activated. A complete list of available sensor groups is available here.

The Sensor Name will help you identify the sensor later.

The Chime Type is the chime that the system will emit when the sensor is activated.

Set Voice Prompts to On if you want the system to speak out the Sensor Name when the sensor is activated.

The Source should be set automatically since you auto-enrolled the sensor.

Press Add New to save your changes and finish adding the sensor.

4. Return to home screen. Press the picture of the house at the bottom to return to the main system screen. Your changes should be automatically saved, provided that you pressed Add New at the end of Step 3.
