Alarm.com ADC-V523X
Indoor 1080P Camera w/ IR Night Vision & High Dynamic Range (HDR)
Description
The Alarm.com ADC-V523X is an alternative to the ADC-V523. With current, ongoing supply chain issues, Alarm.com is sourcing components for the camera from different vendors. This necessitates a change in the SKU. This does not change the specifications for the camera, or how it is used.
The ADC-V523X is an indoor, 1080P camera that features High Dynamic Range (HDR). HDR is a protocol, with the information being delivered along with the rest of the video signal provided by the camera. When received by an HDR capable monitor, or other receiving equipment, this information is decoded and provides much better color and contrast than a camera that does not offer HDR. The ADC-V523X also offers IR night vision to capture video recordings in the dark. The IR night vision range is ~15' (4.5m).
There are many other great features in the ADC-V523X. It supports Alarm.com Video Analytics, which once properly configured and calibrated, allow the camera and the Alarm.com server to differentiate between people and animals, and to indicate movement only in the areas within the camera's field of view that are of interest. This helps to prevent false notifications for things like passing traffic, or pets. The ADC-V523X offers 24/7 recording when used in conjunction with the CSVR-126 Commercial Stream Video Recorder, or when used with the Onboard Recording feature and a compatible MicroSD Card.
The field of view for the ADC-V523X is 117°, which is an increase over many older Alarm.com cameras. This provides greater context when viewing video, and can also decrease the number of cameras required to cover a particular area. The ADC-523X can be viewed on the Alarm.com app or website, and is compatible with Live Streaming to the 2GIG Edge, IQ Panel 2 Plus, and IQ Panel 4, including 2-way Audio between the camera and the alarm panel.
The Alarm.com ADC-V523X can support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WIFI network connections. Either WPS or Access Point Mode can be used for pairing, though AP Mode is the more secure option of the two. The camera comes with its own power supply, and cannot support Power over Ethernet (PoE). If the included power cable is not long enough, the Alarm.com ADC-VPE-9FT-W extension cable can be used to extend the power wire up to a total length of 100' (30.4m). Alarm Grid customers will need a Platinum Plan (Self or Full) or a stand-alone Video Monitoring Plan to use the ADC-V523X. This camera is for indoor use only.
