What Does a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus Kit Include?

A Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus kit includes a new Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus System with a built-in LTE cellular communicator (AT&T or Verizon), multiple wireless door and window contacts, a wireless motion detecting sensor, a power cable and a plug-in transformer. This is all you need to get started.

A security system kit is one of the best ways to get started if you are new to home or business security. These kits provide nearly everything a new user could want for a new alarm system. And they can easily be expanded upon with individual accessories and sensors if needed. But a new user will need more than just a panel to achieve a complete security system. And the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus kits have them covered. Each IQ Panel 2 Plus System has a built-in cellular communicator so that it can send outbound signals to Alarm.com during alarm events. Please note that you will need a Gold Plan or higher from Alarm Grid to connect with Alarm.com and receive monitoring service for the IQ Panel 2 Plus. The panel also has a built-in WIFI card. This means that it comes dual-path ready right out of the box.

For sensors, the kits include several door and window contact sensors and a single (1) motion sensor. We offer kits with three (3) or ten (10) contacts depending on the size of the end user's home. The single motion sensor provides added protection. A user can add additional sensors to the system if needed. They will want to use wireless sensors that operate at a compatible wireless frequency for the system. For a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus kit, this will be the 915 MHz PowerG Sensors, plus one of three legacy sensor frequencies (319.5 MHz, 345 MHz, or 433 MHz). Users with larger homes may want to add additional motion sensors. They might also add smoke and CO detectors for life-safety protection.

The kit also provides a power cable and transformer for supplying power to the panel. The cable is pre-prepared, and the user will only need a screwdriver to complete the installation. All the sensors can be mounted using double-sided foam tape. This eliminates the need to drill holes into the wall. The panel also comes with a small table stand so that the user does not need to mount the panel to the wall.

Alarm Grid offers IQ Panel 2 Plus System kits in all three legacy sensor frequency variants. These are 319.5 MHz, 345 MHz, and 433 MHz. Each kit comes with compatible sensors for the system.
